Yoga Teacher | Studio Owner

Helloo 👋 I’m Chelsie- owner of Bloom Yoga Loft! I haven’t formally introduced myself yet so here I am; giving you a little insight on what my journey into yoga looked like and how the studio came to be.
I was drawn to yoga in my early twenties when I finally freed myself from a toxic, abusive relationship. That combined with years of my horrible decision making and zero self awareness made me feel so far withdrawn from myself and my life. I knew I needed to change or I would never truly find happiness or get out of the negative cycle I was in.
I ended up booking my very first yoga class at Elemental Om. When I got to the studio I sat in the car forever thinking “You’re not flexible what are you thinking. You’re not in shape, not mentally well” blah blah, all of the negative self talk. Thankfully I braved it and went inside because just one hour later I was in a completely opposite mental state than when I walked in. I was leaving with such magnificent peace and calm inside. Why didn’t my doctor ever prescribe that?
After continuing to practice yoga daily on and off the mat for a few weeks, the pieces of my life felt like they came together like puzzle pieces. I started to be truly happier, I felt more open to experiencing life, I was eating healthier than I ever had, new and amazing people were beginning to come around. It was a never ending wave of abundance, and still is. That’s what made me want to be a teacher. I want everyone to experience that blissful shift in their life.
My yoga practice looks a lot different now than it did back then, but the self growth and sense of wellbeing that come from the practice are all just as substantial. My body has been through two pregnancies, one being an emergency c section- when I say I never thought I would reconnect with my body ever again 😳 Yoga has been so key to regaining my sense of self since becoming a mom, reconnecting with my mind and body, feeling powerful again, I am a way better mom since restarting my practice as well.
The studio came about last year. I had been a stay at home mom for almost two years at that time and my husband had the opportunity to rent a space next to his own. He remodeled it into what it is now, a gorgeous, cozy, and peaceful little studio. He continues to perfect the space so that it fits the needs of our teachers and students. He built my dream space, somewhere to build a community, somewhere for the community to be well. Saying he’s the most wonderful or amazing person doesn’t begin to scratch the surface.
Thanks to him, and thank you to all of the wonderful teachers, students, business owners, and healers who have taught or taken classes at Bloom. I felt so vulnerable opening this space to the public but you all have been so supportive. I feel so lucky to be here 💜
